An arch is a vaulted structure, usually with a contour (a semicircle or part of it, or other curves of various shapes) to cover an opening in a wall or between two columns or two pillars. They are also used as a decorative element, shaping doors, windows and other openings in the walls. The vault is an arched structure with a relatively large depth.
