This type of stable indoor landscaping brings to the rooms the freshness of nature, giving them a very elegant and exclusive appearance. At the same time, the environment and quality of life are highly improved and optimized therein.

The decorative Scandinavian moss can be incorporated in the interior of any home, office, restaurant or other room also in the form of beautiful and modern art installations.

According to the client’s project, a variety of pictures, panels, logos and many other decorations can be made from moss.

What is Scandinavian moss?

The wall cladding and decorative moss pictures are made of natural Scandinavian moss mounted on a support base. The labour-consuming pre-treatment process makes the moss durable over time without requiring any maintenance.

This kind of room landscaping not only has a relaxing effect and relieves visual fatigue, but it also has a noise-cancelling effect, by absorbing and reducing the sound in the room.

Moss-installations find a variety of applications, regardless of whether it comes to the lining entire walls or installation in the form of a picture or panel. They are an extremely desirable element of the interior and decorate many residential, bedroom and dining areas giving a ‘natural touch’ to a number of conference rooms, SPA centers, hotel lobbies, casinos, etc. They actively help to clean the ambient air and thus contribute to a healthier life.

The Scandinavian moss cladding and applications can be used regardless of the light and air conditioning of the room, but their humidity should be at least 40%.

How is it produced?

For the production of our unique wall elements of decorative moss, only and exclusively natural moss is used.
The production process is completely manual, paying great attention to the stability. The selection of mosses in forests is particularly careful, as, to ensure the regeneration of their population, care is taken that the areas are partially gathered. They are then carefully cleaned of the soil and washed. The next step in the production process is to colour the mosses by natural dyes and their preservation by a method specially developed for this purpose.

Many years of experience in the production of decorative moss and its specific preservation guarantees that will retain its softness and elasticity as they are in nature. It also retains its self-regulating property – at lower humidity it becomes hard and crumbly, and when humidity rises it regenerates and again becomes soft and elastic.

Required conditions

The cladding and landscaping by decorative Scandinavian moss are extremely durable in time, and they do not need any maintenance.

The moss does not burn. It repels dust particles in the air and therefore does not retain dust and does not need cleaning, which could damage its integrity. It also does not contain pathogenic microorganisms and does not contain toxic components and allergens. On the contrary, its ability to absorb the high humidity in the air helps to combat the appearance of mold and the development of harmful moisture-loving microorganisms, thus improving the living environment of the premises.

A necessary condition for the long life of decorative moss is that the humidity in the room is maintained from 40% to 60%, which can also be achieved by spraying. At humidity

above 60%, the moss absorbs the surplus moisture, and at values below 40%, it evaporates moisture to the room and as a consequence becomes hard and crumbly.

The moss installations MUST NOT be exposed to direct sunlight, as well as MUST NOT be located close to air conditioning units and heat radiating devices!

The moss has a fragile structure and can easily be broken, especially at times when it is dry and hard. Therefore, mechanical damage should be avoided!

It is suitable for installation in rooms without windows.
